Set in a secluded field, the stunning, handmade shepherds hut at Overwood is available for off grid glamping.

 The hand crafted cosy hut brings the beauty of nature right to your front door. Following the path in the long grass through your own private part of Norfolk, you will find your hut, surrounded by wild trees and beautiful grassland. It really is just you and the great outdoors. 

Stepping inside your own private hut you will find a beautiful handmade interior, with wood finishes and contemporary touches, hand-picked by your hosts.

Well insulated and with a wood burning stove the hut is comfortable, cosy and perfect for enjoying your evenings by the fire with a book and a drink, all year round (whatever the weather!). There’s a well-equipped kitchenette (with a solar powered mini fridge, gas hob and cafetiere), a dining table with stools, a full-size double bed and fun bunk beds for the kids! You will also find fun extras including wildlife books, games and a wind-up radio.

Outside your hut you will find an outdoor table and a fire pit with barbeque grill. You’ll have all the space to relax, gather around the fire pit surrounded by outdoor lights, cook a feast on the barbeque and enjoy the Norfolk sky!

From the hut it’s just a short walk through the grass to your own private wood fired sauna and ice bath, nestled in the beautiful surroundings. With a covered changing area, outdoor seating and beautiful lighting, it is a perfectly peaceful spot to enjoy a traditional sauna with just the sound of birds and the wind in the trees to transport you away from technology and daily distractions.

The sauna is available for your to use throughout your stay and nearby is the private outdoor shower hut, where you can enjoy a hot shower, with a view. A truly off grid glamping experience!

An even shorter walk (a few steps!) from the hut and you will find your private, comfortably sized compostable toilet, with eco hand wash.

Your secluded field is surrounded by fields and there are a large number of public footpaths for you to enjoy. This area of Norfolk is teeming with wildlife to look for! Also, just 100 metres away is the stunning Vineyard Cafe & Nursery, where you can pick up some tasty treats, a delicious coffee and take a look around their stunning Dahlia garden and greenhouses.

Just a 10 minute drive away is the Boars public house, voted one of the best pubs in Norfolk whose Sunday roast is a must.

A short car ride away is the beautiful riverside towns of Beccles and Bungay and the seaside towns of Lowestoft, Southwold and Great Yarmouth. Also, only 25 minutes by car is the stunning city of Norwich, one of the most beautiful cities in the UK.

All guests have access to the entire site so you are free to explore and enjoy the beautiful outdoor space. There is a private, lockable entrance and enough parking for up to 3 cars.
